LAHORE (Dunya News) – Robbers deprived former cricketer Abdul Rehman of cash and other belongings at gunpoint when he along with his family members was returning home after shopping from a nearby market in Johar Town here on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

The cricketer lodged an application with the area police station stating that two armed robbers riding a bike looted Rs25,000, $1,000, an ATM card and an identity card from him when he was about to enter his house after returning from a nearby market.

The former cricketer mentioned in his application that the burglars kept his daughter at gunpoint and threatened to shoot his family members if he did not hand over his belongings to them.

Describing the features of the outlaws, Abdul Rehman said the robbers were in their thirties and one of the robbers had a brown beard whereas the other was clean-shaven.

He said the height of one robber was about 5-foot six-inch and the other’s height was about 6-foot five-inch, adding one of the robber wore blue jacket and they came to him by Honda-125.

Having being informed, the area police reached the crime scene and started investigation after collecting evidence and recording statements from the family members.

The law enforcers were seeking surveillance footage of the incident with the help of which they could have a clue about the fleeing robbers.
