Unidentified assailants opened fire on him
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A former MQM office-bearer was shot dead in Khairabad area of Orangi Town, Karachi South SSP said.
The victim was on his way when some unidentified assailants opened fire on him. As a result, he got multiple injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
Police have registered a case and recovered bullet shells from the crime scene for their forensic analysis.
Police are investigating the case keeping in view different angles.
Meanwhile, a man was injured by two robbers on putting up resistance in Gulshan Hadid Phase 2. The victim identified as Bilal was stopped by the robbers on his way home.
The robbers wanted to loot valuables from him, but he raised hue and cry.
The outlaws started firing as a result of which Bilal was injured. The robbers fled.
Police arrived at the crime scene and collected evidence to arrest the outlaws.
Surveillance footages are being collected to find a clue to the fleeing burglars.
