(Web Desk)- Police in London are seeking answers two years after the remains of a man were found in a basement freezer.

Roy Bigg was reported missing in 2012, but it wasn’t until Oct. 15, 2021 that he was found in a freezer in a building that used to be a wine bar, the Metropolitan Police Service said in a statement.

He was identified through dental records.
Police believe Bigg was in the freezer for several years and was around 70 when he died.

Despite previous efforts, police are still searching for information about his killer.

“It’s now been more than two years since Roy was found,” Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen said in a statement.

“Although our investigation, and previous media appeals have provided us with information about Roy’s life, we still need your help to identify who is responsible.”

Authorities say they want to know where Bigg was between 2012 and 2021, when there were no confirmed sightings of the man they believe was murdered.

A £20,000 is being offered for “for information leading to the arrest, charge and prosecution of those responsible,” Met police say.
Bigg’s cause of death was inconclusive.
