Warehouse owner fined, further investigation continues
KOHAT (Dunya News) - A large quantity of substandard ghee and cooking oil was recovered by the district administration and the Food Department following a raid on a warehouse in a Kohat area.
On a tip-off by security agencies, the Kohat administration and the Food Department raided an illegal ghee warehouse and recovered 5,710 ghee boxes containing 30,000kg ghee hoarded there for smuggling.
The seized substandard ghee and cooking oil valued Rs12.48 million.
The action was taken in line with the instructions given by the higher authorities to check edibles hoarding and their illegal transportation.
The raiding team also imposed a heavy fine on the owner.
