LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) granted seven-day physical remand of former police inspector Abid Boxer on Thursday.
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police had arrested Boxer in Kasur and produced him before ATC Judge Abher Gul Khan, seeking his 30-day physical remand. However, the court rejected the police request and gave seven days' remand.
Former inspector has been booked by police on charges of snatching an official rifle, escaping the custody and deterring government employees from performing their duties.
Boxer has been booked in three cases registered under sections of terrorism and others in police stations.
After physical remand, the former inspector has been handed over to police investigation wing.
