LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police have registered a case against Abid Boxer on the allegation of escaping custody of law enforcers by opening fire.
The case has been registered under terror and other charges.
According to the FIR, a police team conducted a raid to arrest former inspector Abid Boxer and his gunmen sprayed police with bullets. When he was eventually arrested, police said, he snatched a rifle from a constable and opened fire on the raiding team.
He fled during the raid but police arrested his accomplices Hameedullah and Ismail.
His family, however, allege that Abid is in police custody and the government should protect him.
