IGP orders crackdown on kite-flyers, twine makers and sellers
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - A youth bled to death when the string of a stray kite hurt his throat on way home from a factory.
Mustafa, 24, was returning home on his bike when twine of a stray kite was entangled around his neck and he had a deep cut in his throat.
In his struggle to get rid of the deadly twine, he fell down off his bike and blood started oozing from his neck which caused his death before the arrival of any life-saving help.
Receiving information, 1122 rescuers scrambled to the scene. Later, they shifted the dead body to a nearby hospital.
Punjab IGP Dr Usman Anwar took notice of the incident and sought a report from the Gujranwala RPO and ordered the CPO to launch a crackdown on kite flyers, twine makers, and sellers.
