Traffic remained blocked for hours as family staged sit-in

GUJRANWALA (Web Desk) - Heirs of a young man, who was shot dead allegedly by his rivals, blocked the Gujranwala bypass and staged sit-in for several hours in protest and demanded the arrest of killers.

According to the details, Ahsan was shot dead by some unknown assailants in a village near Aimanabad. Ahsan’s father Shamshad was also killed last year in November owing to personal enmity.

The son was pursuing the case of his father for the last one year but the suspects couldn’t be arrested. The family placed the body on Gujranwala bypass and blocked the traffic from all sides.

The protest demonstration remained continued for four hours and there was a huge traffic mess on the GT Road and adjoining areas.

Several ambulances, vehicles and even motorbikes remained stuck due to the closure of the roads. The family was demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits.
