SUKKUR (Dunya News) – At least seven persons, including four women, were killed in a fierce armed clash between two rival groups of Kharoos Tribe in Sukkur on the eve of Eidul Fitr, Dunya News reported on Friday.

According to details, the clash started when one person, identified as Malook Kharoos, was shot dead by his rival group in Bachal Shah Miani area of Sukkur while another person was wounded.

The heirs of the deceased then attacked the houses of rival group, killing six persons on the spot and injuring three others. According to sources, four women were among the dead.

Sources also informed that the rivalry between these two groups started 15 years ago over a land dispute which has claimed at least 10 lives so far.

A heavy contingent of police reached the site of the incident and brought the situation under control. Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to Civil Hospital, Sukkur.
