Two outlaws having links with TTP, Daesh arrested in Lahore

 LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), in its operations across Punjab, has apprehended eight suspected terrorists. 

A CTD spokesperson said explosive material, literature and hand-grenades were seized from possession of the arrested terrorists. Akhtar Nawaz belonging to TTP and Muhammad Usman allegedly linked with Daesh were arrested in Lahore.

The spokesperson further said that four terrorists were arrested in Gujranwala while one each in DG Khan and Bahawalpur. These arrested militants were Fawadullah, Faqir Muhammad, Asif Nawaz, Ziaur Rehman, Atique Ahmad and Bashir. 

He said six FIRs had been lodged against these outlaws and investigation had been launched. These terrorists were arrested in 21 combing operations.

The spokesperson added that during current week 402 combing operations were conducted across the province. He said 22,921 suspects were interrogated during these operations and 118 people were arrested after registering 89 FIRs.
