ANF seizes 47 kg drugs in Jhelum operation
JHELUM (Dunya News) – Anti-Narcotics Force, during an operation in Jhelum district on Saturday, seized 47 kg drugs hidden in two trucks.
The ANF said that drugs were being smuggled to Lahore from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The drugs had been covered by tiles and cloths. Acting on a on a tip-off, the ANF stopped two trucks near Sohawa.
On search, the Force recovered 27.6 kg drugs from one truck and 19.2 kg from other truck. The ANF officials said that five people were arrested who belonged to Khyber. The ANF has started investigations against the arrested drug-traffickers, after booking them under the anti-narcotics act.
