One robber killed in crossfire with the police

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – One robber was killed while his accomplice escaped in a crossfire between police and robbers in New Chakra area of Rawalpindi on Thursday.
According to the police the robbers were on a motorcycle. The police had taken the motorcycle into custody.
The police further said the deceased robber was involved in many incidents including bank cash van robbing. During the bank cash van robbery, a security guard Abdul Waheed got injured by the robber identified as Ayaz. The robber looted Rs2 crore 12 lakhs along with his companions, the police added.
The dead body of the robber was shifted to the hospital for autopsy and the search for other robber was being done.
