Woman raped in front of her 4-year-old son in Sheikhupura
SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) – In yet another heart-wrenching incident of violence against women, unidentified armed men raped a mother in front of her 4-year-old son in Sheikhupura’s Bhikhi area on Tuesday.
As per the reports garnered, two armed robbers raped a woman named Shakila for two hours. An attempt was also made to rape another woman named Kaynat during the robbery who was 8 months pregnant. The victim begged for mercy, instead of showing mercy, the robbers kept punching her in the stomach.
Bhikhi police registered a case of robbery but did not include rape provision in the FIR.
The victim’s family has said that the police have registered a case of robbery only, and did not include provisions of rape in the FIR.
The girl s father said that the police did not even get the women medically examined and we are being humiliated, adding that no one is cooperating.
Girl s father demanded justice from the higher authorities, while the victim has appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan for justice.
