Two held in Pakpattan as crackdown on illicit liquor continues

A case was lodged against the arrested accused after recovering four canes of 80 liters of liquor

PAKPATTAN (Dunya News) – In a crackdown against illicit liquor trade, police have arrested two drug peddlers in Pakpattan on Thursday.

According to the details garnered, Abdul Rehman and Muhammad Musawar were arrested along with a vehicle laden with liquor in Pakpattan.

A case was registered against the arrested accused after recovering four canes of 80 liters of domestic liquor and two bottles of provincial liquor.

Earlier on Wednesday, police had arrested five drug peddlers and recovered 2500 liter liquor from their possession in Muzaffargarh.

The action was taken under the ongoing crackdown initiated under the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Hassan Iqbal.

Separate cases had been registered against the drug peddlers, police said. However, the district police officer had directed officers concerned to continue the crackdown.
