Khairpur: Accused involved in rape, murder of 7-year-old turns out her relative
KHAIRPUR (Dunya News) - Police investigation revealed that the accused involved in the rape and murder of a 7-year-old girl in Khairpur was her relative.
Dr Kamran Fazal, Additional IG, Khairpur District, DIG Sukkur, Fida Mastoi, while addressing a press conference, said that Monica s body was found in a banana field on January 9. Police investigated through geo-forensics in the case of blind murder.
Additional IG Dr Kamran Fazal said that the accused was arrested through DNA samples of 10,000 people. Abad Larak was a relative of the slain girl whose DNA has been matched.
He said that the accused has confessed to his crime and also given the names of his accomplices. Other accomplices of the accused have been arrested and are under investigation.
IG Kamran Fazal said that the accused and the victim were relatives. There was resentment in both the families. The Khairpur incident is unfortunate. There will be full justice with the heirs of the girl.
