Karachi police officers found to be in cahoots with land grabbers
KARACHI (Dunya News) – It has been learned that Karachi police officers have been working with the city’s land mafia to help them acquire illegal land. Former SHO of Manghopir Police has been linked with a notorious land grabber.
Former SHO Adnan was suspended for kidnapping workers at the behest of the land grabber, after which a case was filed against him and his accomplices on a court order.
The case includes counts of kidnapping, attempted murder and robbery. According to the FIR, former SHO Adnan kept five innocent people in custody for four days and six laborers were abducted at the behest of alleged land grabber Ali Hassan Brohi.
All the laborers were guarding a builder’s land. The former SHO kept the laborers in captivity and took over millions worth of land.
Manghopir police station had to be raided by a magistrate to recover the captives. The former SHO, along with the investigating officer, classified the case as B class and the plaintiff once again complained to the court.
