Man arrested for raping, killing 3-year-old girl in Gujranwala
GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) - Police have arrested an accused who raped and killed a 3-year-old girl in Gujranwala after the Chief Minister had taken notice of the incident.
The incident took place in the area of Alipur Chatha police station in Gujranwala. The accused abducted the three-year-old girl from the street, raped her and later killed her and dumped her body in the bathroom of a mosque.
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took immediate notice of the incident and ordered the police to arrest the accused immediately and punish him according to law. Police officials said that the accused Rizwan was cousin of the deceased and was last seen with the girl.
The Punjab Chief Minister while seeking a report from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala had said that such accused did not deserve any concession, justice would be provided to the affected family in any case.
He conveyed his heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family and assured justice.
