CTD arrests five terrorists of banned outfit in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has on Friday arrested five terrorists of a banned outfit in Gujranwala and seized suicide jackets, weapons, literature and a printing machine.

The CTD was informed that five militants had reached Gujranwala from Karachi and were planning to conduct a major attack. The CTD carried out a successful operation against them following the tip-off.

It has been learnt that the arrested terrorists were plotting to target officers from law enforcement agencies and other important persons. They have been shifted to an unknown place. Further investigations are ongoing.
