Police arrest individual who runaway after shifting his dead co-workers to hospital

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Sunday afternoon arrested a man who along with his colleague had shifted bodies of two of his co-workers of Korangi Factory to the Jinnah Hospital in Karachi.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Sheeraz Nazeer, the workers had died due to smoke inhalation in a room of the factory and suffocation.

He further stated that both friends brought the victims to the hospital and ran away in fear when they came to know about the deaths of their co-workers. Meanwhile, further investigation into the incident is underway.

Earlier today, police had arrested four suspicious persons for investigation into the same case after one of the deceased persons was identified as Mustafa Khan, a resident of North Waziristan, using data from NADRA and the CPLC.

The four persons were arrested during raids in Baldia Saeedabad after collecting CCTV footages of the incident which showed two persons transporting two dead bodies in a rickshaw and a taxi to the hospital.
