Cases of child abuse are on rise in Punjab ?
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Cases of child abuse are on rise in Punjab and in first ten months of current year 1219 such cases were reported.
831 minor boys became victim of child abuse, 11 boys were killed, 372 girls were raped and 5 girls were murdered. Lahore stands on top of the list of cities where such cases were reported.
In provincial capital 182 cases of child rape were reported in which 94 boys and 85 girls became victim of sexual frustration while 2 boys and 1 girl was killed after the rape.
240 cases of child abuse were reported in Faisalabad region where 101 boys and 139 girls were sexually harassed. 1 boy and one girl was killed after rape.
Moreover, 160 cases were reported in Bahawalpur region where 106 boys and 54 girls were raped while 3 boys and a girl was killed after rape.
