JARANWALA (Dunya News) – At least 15 dacoits looted a 70-member marriage party, including bride and groom, in Faisalabad’s Jaranwala tehsil on Saturday.

Reports said the marriage party of Rao Naeem was returning from Multan when the dacoits attacked them and made off with gold ornaments, cash and mobile phones.

The affected family blocked the road for traffic and protested against the incident.

On the other hand, a robber was caught by the villagers in Dajkot. It happened as three of them were busy looting the citizens.

Two of the dacoits escaped while firing gunshots whereas one of them was caught and beaten by the villagers.

The surge in dacoity and street crimes in Faisalabad has frightened the residents and raised questions over the performance of police officials.
