Report on Eman Fatima rape case submitted in SC Lahore registry

KASUR (Dunya News) – Investigation report regarding rape with a five-year-old girl in Kasur and suspect Mudassar’s alleged killing in fake encounter has been submitted in Supreme Court (SC) today (Thursday).

A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar heard the case at SC Lahore registry.

During the hearing, CJP asked where is Inspector General of Punjab over which the Additional IG said that he is on leave due to his son’s wedding. CJP said he already knew that Punjab IG will take off today.

He further asked who gave orders to separate Khuda Baksh from Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Kasur incident on which, Additional IG said that he was eliminated on the directives of Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif.

The judge ordered to re-include Khuda Baksh in JIT and to present all the suspects in the court till 12:30 pm today.

Earlier, statements of six police who participated in ‘encounter’ of Mudassar who was killed for alleged rape and murder of Eman Fatima in February 2017, bore contradictions following which they were arrested.

Sub-inspector Muhammad Ali, ASIs Tanveer and Sharif, constables Muhammad Amir, Abid Hussain and Khalid were arrested today for Mudassar’s alleged encounter.

A Kasur local named Mudassar was killed in an encounter in February last year as police suspected him of having raped and murdered a minor girl named Eman Fatima. However, the latest of such tragic incidents against children in the city revealed that the accused, named Imran Ali murdered Fatima among eight minors.
