11-year-old raped in Karachi, step father arrested as suspect
The case was registered in presence of girls real father
KARACHI (Dunya News) – In the wake of increasing crime rate in the provincial capital of Sindh, rape of an 11-year-old girl was reported on Saturday and police arrested her step father as suspect.
The incident took place in Baloch Colony of Karachi. According to police, the girl told that her step father raped her multiple times.
Parents of the girls had divorced in 2009 after which she lived with her mother and step father. The girl’s mother has rejected the allegations of her ex-husband.

Police registered case in the presence of girl’s father Munir Ahmed, and arrested the step father Naveed Mehar as suspect of the heinous crime.
Naveed denied the allegation against him, terming it baseless. He pointed out that the police neither brought the girl before media nor presented the medical report. The matter raised question mark over the little transparency assured by the police.
