Girl accused influential landlord of gang-rape and police officer of receiving bribe to dismiss FIR

JHANG (Web Desk) – Police has dismissed an FIR lodged against influential suspects for alleged rape apart from letting them off the hook in Jhang.

According to reports, influential suspects were accused of gang rape by a victim. The girl, who issued the allegation, addressed a press conference in her district. She said an influential landlord sexually harassing her in Pirmahal tehsil of Toba Tekh Singh district . Upon her refusal, he issued threats of kidnapping.

The girl told her parents about the kidnapping threat. Upon considering the dangerous situation, parents shifted her to Jhang where she lived at the house of a close relative. She was then kidnapped by the landlord when he located her whereabouts. The kidnapping took place when she was outside her hiding place with the relatives.

Four people kidnapped her while pointing the gun and threatening to fire the bullet. She was taken to a farmhouse at Pirmahal where the same four persons raped her multiple times for a few days. The girl was released only after her parents filed writ petition in court. Police lodged an FIR against the influential suspects before dismissing it as the suspects produced  fake  marriage documents, according to the victim.

She accused the four of rape and also, the police officer of receiving bribe from the alleged persons. The girl demanded justice from police and made an appeal to Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif. On the other hand, police station SHO Mazhar Tabassum rejected the allegations and told the case was dismissed over marriage documents.
