Pakistani man involved in drug smuggling beheaded in Saudi Arabia

The recent executions have escalated the number of prisoners killed in Saudi Arabia to 20 this year

RIYADH (Daily Dunya) – A Pakistani man who was found guilty in drug trafficking case was beheaded in Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, two convicts one Saudi Arabian national Nasser Harshan and one Pakistani national Namtallah Khasta Qul were given death sentences.

So far, the recent executions have escalated the number of prisoners killed in Saudi Arabia to 20  this year.

According to London-based rights group Amnesty International, more than 150 people were sentenced to death last year in the kingdom.

The report revealed that 158 death penalties were given in the country in 2015 which is the highest annual rate in the past two decades.
