Islamabad: Prime suspect of gang rape on New Year's night arrested
The woman was allegedly gang-raped in capital city by fake MNA who tricked her into getting a job
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Police arrested prime suspect of alleged gang rape on Sunday, reported Dunya News.
The incident occurred during New Year’s night when a man pretending to be MNA allegedly raped a woman along with his four companions. Other four are yet to be caught.
According to the FIR, suspect named Chaudhry Tauseef tricked the woman into getting her a job while pretending to be a member of the National Assembly. The police have also carried out medical checkup of the victim.
Deputy Superintendent told Dunya News that the case was registered upon victim’s request and prime suspect was arrested afterwards.
The police have been raiding various places to arrest the rest of four culprits. It was revealed that the five men allegedly gang raped the woman during New Year’s night.
