Shopkeepers protest as robbers loot 11 shops in Karachi's Orangi Town

The robbers escaped after looting cash, mobile phones and valuable goods from the shops.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Robbers on Thursday looted at least 11 shops in Karachi’s Orangi Town area.

The group is active in Karachi from the past several months however; no arrest has yet been made which has raised concerns for the shopkeepers.

The robbers escaped after looting cash, mobile phones and valuable goods from the shops.

The shopkeepers have said that they have several times requested the police to conduct patrols but they didn’t paid heed to the appeal.

The traders while burning tyres staged a protest against the robberies and raised slogans against the government.



In the ongoing year, shops were looted at more than 20 places including Liaquatabad, Sadar, MA Jinnah Road, Tibet Centre and Urdu Bazaar but the police has yet not arrested a single suspect.
