Lahore: Police arrest house owner, wife in maid torture case
The investigation officer revealed that a medical test of the victim has also been arranged.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Police on Saturday arrested house owner and his wife over torturing maid in Lahore’s Gulshan Iqbal area.
According to details, the incident took place when house owner Sheikh Rizwan’s son brutally assaulted his 15-year-old maid Mahwish and torched her with iron.
The victim alleged that Rizwan’s young son Abdullah also harassed her.
Police personnel apprehended Rizwan and Ayesha who later denied the allegations.
The investigation officer revealed medical test of the affectee has also been held on the request of Mahwish’s father whereas investigation from the under custody couple is underway.
Earlier, a college professor was detained for allegedly torturing a 15-year-old maid in Lahore.
The girl identified as Fiza was hospitalized in critical condition after alleged torture by her employer Professor Salman, a resident of Defence area.
