Gojra child case: Police term mishap 'accidental', refuse to lodge FIR
Victim's family told that suspects are pressurizing them for commitment.
GOJRA (Dunya News) – The police personnel on Sunday declared Gojra child assault case as an accidental and refused to file case, reported on Sunday.
According to sources, some influential landlords forced a five-year-old Abdullah to stand on burning coals over minor clash between children in a street.
Senior House Officer (SHO) termed the incident as an accidental and stated that the child unconsciously stepped on the fire outside the house. He said that FIR into the matter cannot be lodged.
He said that no fight was broke out between kids in the area whereas Abdullah’s family told that suspects are pressurizing them for commitment.
The relatives urged higher officials to take action into the matter while the victim is still under treatment at local hospital.
