Islamabad police takes action against gang of housemaids involved in thefts in the city
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special investigation cell of Islamabad police on Monday operated against a gang of housemaids involved in committing thefts in various areas of the city, reported Dunya News.
A total of six culprits were arrested which involve three women as well; two of whom are sisters and one of the males is their brother. Large sums of stolen cash, jewelry and other materials have been retrieved by the authorities from the criminals.
Superintendent Police (SP) Captain Mohammad Ilyas stated that an absconder is also among the members of the gang arrested.
The three women presented themselves as housemaids whereas the male members of the gang were armed and coordinated with their female counterparts whenever they intended to commit theft in any house the females worked at.
