Assault on minor boy sparks protests in Faisalabad
4-year-old boy was subjected to sexual assault by principal of a private school.
FAISALABAD (Online) - A four-year-old boy was allegedly molested by his school principal within the remit of the Gulberg Police Station in Faisalabad.
According to reports, the four-year-old boy, studying in the first grade of a private school, was subjected to sexual assault by his principal.
As the condition of the minor was reported critical, relatives and local residents staged a protest on the streets of Faisalabad’s Ghulam Mehmoodabad area and also burned tyres blocking road access.
During the protest, demonstrators maligned the school where the assault took place and even broke its windows and doors.
Following the attack, protesters shut down the school and subsequently students belonging to the institution joined in the protest.
Later, a heavy contingent of police personnel reached the site of protest and managed to gain control of the situation.
Meanwhile, the accused person was arrested and was put in jail at the Gulberg Police Station.
