Ibrars girlfriend Zara Mehak admits he raped the girl and then killed her.

 

ISLAMABAD (Online) - Islamabad Police have arrested a couple for killing a ten-year old girl who dumped her body in a dry gutter after burning it and they also confessed their involvement in another case of murdering a girl.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan said that ten-year old Shehzadi Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Ejaz aged went missing from Margalla Valley Baharakau on February 13.


She went for tuition in nearby house of Zara Mehak (a BS Mass comm. student of NUML) at around 1100 hours and didn’t return, he added.


Following the complaint of father of girl against Zara Mehak, case was registered under section 364-A at Bhara Kau police station and she was arrested. Her bail before arrest till February 26 was obtained from the court.


DIG Headquarters Sultan Azam Temuri, SSP Islamabad Yasin Farooq, SP (City) Muhammad Ilyas, SP (Saddar) Sajid Kiyani and DSP (Sectt) Liaquat Hayat Niazi and other police officials were also present on the occasion.


The IGP said that totally burnt dead body of Shehzadi Bibi was recovered from a dry gutter in 1-9/1 on February 16 and she was unidentified till that time.


A case no. 57 was registered under sections 302/201, PPC, was registered at Industrial area police station.


Same day, father of girl was shown the dead body who identified her daughter and section 302 and 201 PPC were added in First Information Report already registered at Bharakau Kau police station.


After this shocking development into this particular case, the IGP said that SSP Islamabad Yasin Farooq started the efforts to trace out the culprits.


SP City Muhammad Ilyas was tasked with obtaining and analyzing call record data of the accused and geo-fencing of both the crime scenes, while the DSP Secretariat Liaqat Hayat Niazi and SHO Bhàrakau police station Mehboob Ahmed were directed to collect information from 1-9 as well as Bharakau and interview the neighbors besides interrogating the accused.


Bani Amin Khan said that total 45 persons including 20 people from furniture market in sector 1/9 were also inquired as it was the place from where dead body was found.


He said 107 persons including 67 residents of Citizen Margalla Valley (PS Bharakau) were inquired and survey of medical stores, clinics and hospitals situated at `Naiabadi and Simli Dam road’ was also conducted.


He said that 17 relatives of victim were also queried about the incident and a team was also sent to Murree (native village of victim) to check any background conflict or issue.


In addition, the IGP said that SP City Muhammad Ilyas obtained and worked on Geo Fencing data of both crime scenes.

Latest sorting techniques were used and after three days of continued effort, he was able to find out the suspicious number from more than 2 million records.


It was found out that Zara Mehak was in contact with her boyfriend Ibrar, an MBA degree holder from NUML and HR Manager in Ittehad Steel Mills) through a secret number hidden at her house.


Ibrar was living at 1-9/1 and came to Zara Mehak’s house on Feb 13 at 11:30 pm.


During the initial investigation, Zara Mehak at first denied everything but then she admitted and disclosed that indeed she along with Ibrar gagged and strangled the girl. After that, they packed the girl in bed sheets and plastic bag. Ibrar carried the fainted girl to 1-9/1, raped the girl there and then burnt her.


The IGP said that SSP Islamabad supervised the arrest of Ibrar and he was arrested from 1-9 on next morning. He also confessed of kidnapping, rape, murder and burning of dead body with petrol. Zara Mehak had willingly confessed the crime, in front of Magistrate under section 164 also.


During interrogation, Ibrar gave very strange reason of rape and said that he told Zehra Mehak from suffering AIDs that can be only treated after sex with any other girl.


They confessed their involvement in another murder case also and told that they murdered Swera at Bhara Kau about whom another FIR (74 U/S 302/34 PPC dated 25.02.2013) has been registered.


On the occasion, the IGP appreciated the performance of the police team and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for whole team members.
