KOLKATA (Dunya News) – West Indies defeated Scotland in the second match of the T20 World Cup.
In the match played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, Scotland won the toss and invited West Indies to bat first. West Indies scored 182 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, with Shamarh Brooks top-scoring with 64 runs.
For Scotland, Brad Currie took 2 wickets, while Sufyan Sharif, Oliver Davidson, and Michael Leask claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Scotland was bowled out for 147 runs in 18.4 overs. Captain Richie Berrington scored 42 runs, Tom Bruce 35, George Munsey 19, Brandon McMullen 14, Matthew Cross 11, and Michael Jones 1. Michael Leask, Oliver Davidson, and Sufyan Sharif were dismissed without scoring.
In the 17th over, Romario Shepherd completed a hat-trick to seal the win for West Indies. Shepherd took a total of 5 wickets and was named Man of the Match. Jason Holder took 3 wickets, while Shamarh Joseph and Gudakesh Moti claimed 1 wicket each.
