Chairman Naqvi’s visit is aimed at strengthening cricketing ties with stakeholders across the United Kingdom and presenting the league’s commercial vision to a wider international audience. The PCB recently highlighted the PSL’s transformation into one of the most commercially resilient T20 tournaments in the world, noting that its expansion plans have already attracted significant interest from prospective ownership groups in the UK.
The league, which began in 2016 with five teams, is preparing for a major structural shift with the addition of two new franchises. The last expansion took place in 2018 with the introduction of Multan Sultans. With its next phase set to raise the total number of teams to eight, the PSL is actively promoting its evolving commercial ecosystem and long-term roadmap.

In a statement ahead of the event, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said the PSL had become a symbol of excellence and ambition, and that taking the roadshow to Lord’s reflected Pakistan cricket’s broader global aspirations. He acknowledged the strong interest from the UK market in the upcoming team expansions and emphasised the league’s commitment to deepening international partnerships.
HBL PSL CEO Salman Naseer added that the league’s growing reach and commercial strength positioned it among the world’s top cricket properties. He said the roadshow would provide investors with direct insight into strategic opportunities linked to the introduction of new teams and the league’s future direction.
