DOHA (Dunya News) - Pakistan Shaheens lifted the Rising Stars Asia Cup title in Doha after edging out Bangladesh A in a thrilling final decided by a Super Over.
Batting first, Pakistan Shaheens were bowled out for 125 in 20 overs.
Saad Masood top-scored with 38, while Arafat Minhas contributed 25 and Muaz Sadaqat added 23 runs to the total.
For Bangladesh A, Ripon Mondol delivered an impressive spell, taking 3 wickets in his 4 overs.
Rakibul Hasan claimed 2 wickets, while SM Meherob, Jishan Alam, and Abdul Ghaffar Saqlain picked up one wicket each.
Pakistan Shaheens crush India by eight wickets in Asia Cup Rising Stars
Chasing a target of 126, Bangladesh A also finished on 125 at the end of their 20 overs, forcing the match into a Super Over.
In the tiebreaker, Bangladesh A managed only 6 runs, with their earlier top contributors Ripon Mondol (8), Abdul Ghaffar Saqlain (15), and SM Meherob (19) unable to replicate their form.
Pakistan’s Ahmed Daniyal struck twice in the Super Over, putting immense pressure on the opposition.
The Shaheens then comfortably chased the 7-run target, getting the job done in just four deliveries without losing a wicket.
