DUBAI (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s newly appointed ODI captain Shaheen Afridi and star batter Babar Azam have slipped in the latest ICC 50-over rankings, while other national players have recorded notable gains.

In batting, Babar Azam fell one spot to fifth with 728 points. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan and opener Fakhar Zaman each rose a position, now ranked 23rd and 26th, respectively.

Middle-order batsman Salman Ali Agha made a significant jump, climbing nine places to 30th with 569 points following his strong performance against South Africa in the series opener. Left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq dropped one spot to 42nd, while youngster Saim Ayub held steady at 53rd with 509 points.

India’s Rohit Sharma continues to lead the ODI batting rankings, followed by Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran. New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell moved up to third, pushing India’s Shubman Gill to fourth.

On the bowling front, Shaheen Afridi slipped one place to 15th with 587 points, while pacer Naseem Shah surged 10 spots to 33rd with 524 points. Spinner Abrar Ahmed climbed to 37th, and all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz improved three places to 69th with 436 points.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains the top-ranked ODI bowler, followed by South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj. England’s Jofra Archer moved up to third, overtaking Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana, who fell to fourth.
