(Web Desk) - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dismissed Women’s National Team Head Coach Mohammad Wasim following the team’s disappointing performance in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025.

According to the PCB, the search for a new head coach is underway, and the board remains committed to strengthening women’s cricket at all levels.

Wasim, appointed as head coach in 2024 with full authority, failed to secure a single win in the tournament. Pakistan lost four matches, while three were washed out due to rain.

Despite the defeats, the team delivered impressive bowling performances against top sides like Australia and England, showcasing potential.

All of Pakistan’s seven matches were played at Colombo’s Premadasa Stadium, where they suffered losses against India, Australia, South Africa, and Bangladesh.
