Salman said the squad had gained confidence from recent home performances
SHARJAH (Web Desk) - Pakistan T20 captain Agha Salman has expressed confidence ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup, stating that the team is fully prepared and hopeful of delivering strong results.
Speaking at a press conference after winning the Sharjah series, Salman said the squad had gained confidence from recent home performances and believed victory was achievable with the current lineup. He noted that a target of 140 runs on the Sharjah pitch was highly challenging, especially against Afghanistan’s world-class spin attack.
The skipper praised his side’s batting display against Afghan spinners, adding that the decision to field two spinners after pitch inspection proved crucial. “Mohammad Nawaz has always delivered match-winning performances,” he remarked.
Agha Salman emphasized that Pakistan is focused on its own performance rather than team rankings, reaffirming: “We are fully prepared for the Asia Cup.”
