Haris, Hasan and Shaheen return to Pakistan squad for West Indies series

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Fast bowlers Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali and Shaheen Shah Afridi returned to Pakistan squad for the three T20I matches against West Indies.
Pakistan will play three T20Is on 31 July, 2 and 3 August, at the Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill, USA. Salman Ali Agha will captain the T20I side.
Salman Mirza, even after picking up eight wickets in his first three T20 International appearances, was ignored to include Shaheen Shah Afridi. Afridi was able to claim only two wickets in his last five T20I appearances.
Moreover, Ahmed Daniyal and Abbas Afridi were also dropped from the announced squad.
Mohammad Rizwan will continue to lead Pakistan as the Men’s National Selection Committee has named a 16-member squad for the three ODIs against the West Indies. The series will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad & Tobago on 8, 10 and 12 August.
Right-handed batter Hasan Nawaz is the only uncapped player in the ODI squad, while Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi are part of the ODI squad. Muhammad Nawaz has also made his way back in the ODI squad. He last ODI appearance is dated back in October 2023 against South Africa in ICC Cricket World Cup campaign.
Following the conclusion of the series in Bangladesh, Pakistan will arrive in the USA on Sunday, 27 July.
