(Reuters) – South Africa have added all-rounder Corbin Bosch to their 15-player squad for the Champions Trophy in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates as a replacement for injured fast bowler Anrich Nortje.
Bosch, 30, made his national team debut this season and played his only One-Day International in a 36-run defeat to Pakistan in Johannesburg in December.
He will also feature in the ongoing Tri-Nations tournament with hosts Pakistan and New Zealand, but will only be available for the team’s second game against the home side on Wednesday.
South Africa will take 18-year-old fast bowler Kwena Maphaka to the Champions Trophy as a travelling reserve, meaning they can bring him into the squad in the event of injury.
The team has appointed former Pakistan international all-rounder Yasir Arafat as a consultant for the tournament.
