(Web Desk) – The Group B match of the T20 World Cup 2024 between England and Scotland was abandoned due to rain in Bridgetown on Tuesday.

Before the rain spoiled the game, Scotland set a target of 109 runs for defending champions in a reduced 10-over match.

Scottish opening pair remained unbeaten as George Munsey made 41 and Michael Jones 45, helped their side rack up a challenging total for rivals. Both teams have been awarded one point each.

The match was interrupted by rain multiple times as Scotland stood at 51/0 in 6.2 overs when the rain returned after it delayed the start of the match.

Earlier, Scotland won the toss and decided to bat first against defending champions.

This was the first match between these sides in the T20I format. Bot sides last time met in an ODI, back in 2018.
