LAHORE (Dunya News) – Kieron Pollard played a super innings that helped Karachi Kings to secure nail-biting win against Lahore Qalandars in match number 10 of the Pakistan Super League season nine (PSL 9) at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Saturday.

Kings saw their chase start badly as they lost top three wickets in quick session. At this point, Shoaib Malik played mature cricket to save the wicket and made 39 runs before he was dismissed by Haris Rauf.

Pollard then held the nerves and smashed five sixes and one four to make 58 for 33, a timely knock that turned the game in Kings’ favour.

Shan Masood’s side achieved the target of 176 runs on last ball of the 20-over match.

Earlier, a fiery knock from Sahibzada Farhan helped Lahore Qalandars set a challenging target of 176 runs for Karachi Kings. Farhan, the opening batsman, remained on the crease till last ball of the 20-over match as he made unbeaten 72 for 45.

Rassie van der Dussen scored 26 and Shai Hope 21 before their dismissal. George Linde boosted the total with his fireworks in final over as he smashed 26 off 13.

Mir Hamza, Hasan Ali and Tabraiz Shamsi took two wickets each.
