AHMEDABAD (Dunya News) – The opening ceremony of the much-anticipated ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 has been postponed due to 'technical' reasons.
According to the media reports, the opening ceremony, which was scheduled to take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Oct 4, 2023, was postponed due to technical reasons.
“The BCCI has now planned to hold the opening ceremony before the Pakistan vs India clash, which will be held on Oct 14,” said the media reports.
Neither the Indian cricket board nor the ICC announced the postponement of the opening ceremony.
Earlier, there were reports that several Bollywood and music industry celebrities, including Ranveer Singh, Arijit Singh and Tamannaah Bhatia, would enthrall the cricket fans at the opening ceremony.
