Daraz, Tamasha and myco will offer livestreaming of matches to fans
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The much-awaited ICC Men’s World Cup 2023 is all set to begin on Oct 5 in India.
The opening match of the event will be played between England and New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The eagerly-awaited contest between India and Pakistan at this year's ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be played on Oct 14. The final Group Stage encounter will see England face off against Pakistan at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
The semi-finals will be played on Nov 15 and 16 in Mumbai, Kolkata, respectively, while the final of the mega cricket event will take place Nov 19 in Ahmedabad.
The matches will be broadcast by authorised TV channels, including PTV Sports. As number of mobile users have surged to record high in Pakistan, there is a significant shift from flat screens to hand ones.
Cricket fans in Pakistan can avail themselves of the live streaming of the World Cup matches on their mobile phones on three apps; Daraz, Tamasha and myco.
Muhammad Ammar Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer at Daraz, made the announcement in a post shared on LinkedIn. He wrote: “Daraz is back with cricket and that too with the biggest tournament. Enjoy Gyara Gyara, Biggest shopping festival with the biggest cricketing event”.
Aamer Ejaz, Chief Digital Officer, Jazz, in a statement said Tamasha is set to offer live streaming of world cup matches to mobile phone users as it is successfully entraining the cricket fans by streaming Asia Cup 2023 matches.
Myco app is another option for cricket fans who will enjoy the matches on handy screens. An official of the company said the app had successfully streamed multiple mainstream live sports events in the MENA region and other countries. He said the tech firm was thrilled to enter Pakistan after securing the rights to stream the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 on myco.
