Asia Cup Super Four: India defeat Sri Lanka by 41 runs

India now in Asia Cup 2023 final

 (Web Desk) – India defeated Sri Lanka by 41 runs in a crucial match of the Asia Cup 2023 super fours.

India restricted Sri Lanka to 172 in a chase of 214 runs.

Earlier, an impressive bowling spell by Sri Lankan bowlers restricted India from building a challenging total in crucial match of Asia Cup's Super Four stage in Colombo.

Dunith Wellalage took five wickets while Charith dismissed four Indian batters as the visitors struggled to put score on the board. Six of the batsmen were sent to pavilion before the cross the 10-run mark.

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma made 53 runs while Virat Kohli dismissed for three.

Earlier, India won the toss and decided to bat first against Sri Lanka. 

Sri Lanka made no change to the XI that beat Bangladesh in their first Super Four match.
