Battle for supremacy: Babar Azam cruises to number three in Test rankings

Babar, Head vying for the top slots

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan captain Babar Azam on Wednesday reclaimed the third spot in the ICC rankings of Test batters.

Babar Azam and Australian batter Travis Head are rapidly improving in red-ball cricket and are vying for the top slots in the batter rankings.

Head has moved up two spots to second place with 874 points. Kane Williamson of New Zealand, currently holds the top spot in the latest update of the Test batter rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

According to ICC, "Australians Steve Smith (fourth) and Marnus Labuschagne (fifth) and England's Joe Root (sixth) all dropping one spot in what is an enthralling race for top billing".
