Imam leaves at 83 as Southee strikes

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan lost their fourth wicket of opening batter Imam ul Haq at 182 on Kiwi captain Southee’s delivery.

On the second day of the second Test of two-match series against New Zealand, in Karachi, Pakistan in their first innings were 154 for three at stumps on Tuesday.

Imam-ul-Haq 74 and Saud Shakeel with 13 runs were at the crease. With some stable performance by the two batters, Pakistan was looking for runs and eyeing a decent lead to stay in the game.

Earlier, New Zealand resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 309 runs for the loss of six wickets and were all out for 459 runs. Pakistan started their innings with two early departures and captain Babar Azam also had to go back to the pavilion due to a mix-up with Imam.

The first test match of the series ended in a draw in Karachi.
