Role as selector would probably be brief, says Shahid Afridi
KARACHI ( Web Desk ) – Former captain Shahid Afridi gave a signal that his role as an interim head of selection committee would likely to be short-term as he had to play his responsibility in the Shahid Afridi Foundation.
He added it would be “a bit difficult” for him to continue his services as a selector of the team because his foundation demand his active role in person.
Talking to reporters in Karachi he said Babar Azam was the backbone of the team and the selection committee would support him wholeheartedly.
Speaking about the quality of pitches, he said the Pakistan cricket could not make improvements as there was an abysmal quality of pitches and the management would try to prepare bouncy wickets for the second test.
He also said: He wants to do justice with the Pakistani players and those who are performing will get the chance to play for the country.”
