Debutant Wasim Jr earns Test cap from Azhar Ali

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan is eyeing victory in the third and final Test as captain Babar Azam won the toss and elected to bat first on the first day of the match being played in Karachi’s National Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Pakistan s opening batsman Azhar Ali is making his last appearance in the whites, having announced his retirement on the eve of the third Test. This will be his 97th appearance for the national team.

Pakistan made four changes including giving Test cap to Mohammad Wasim Jr. Babar Azam said "We will try to get a score and put pressure on them."

Four changes confirmed for Pakistan: Azhar, Wasim Jr, Nauman Ali and Shan Masood came in, with Mohammad Nawaz, Zahid Mahmood, Mohammad Ali and the injured Imam-ul-Haq sitting out.

The visiting side is leading the series 2-0 after winning the first match by 74 runs in Rawalpindi and the second by 26 in Multan.
