Wasim Akram breaks silence on Babar's exit from Karachi Kings

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Pakistan’s former cricketer and Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) franchise Karachi King’s president Wasim Akram has opened up about Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s exit from Karachi Kings.

Speaking on the sidelines of PSL season eight’s drafts on Thursday, former pacer Akram said it is quite normal in franchise cricket worldwide. Babar has replaced Wahab Riaz as Peshawar Zalmi’s captain.

“I think this happens in franchise cricket. We’ve seen this happen worldwide, where their main player walks away and somebody else comes in) So, as long as Babar is in PSL, it’ll be fun. It’ll be good games, competitive games," Wasim said.

Babar reportedly didn t want to play for the Kings anymore, as per reports. Kings also had a disastrous season last year, where they won only one game out of ten. The 28-year-old is traded to Zalmi for Kings in Platinum Category.
